Anseong is located in the southernmost part of Gyeonggi Province. There, the city sits is situated directly next to Pyeongtaek City and Chungcheong-do Province, thereby serving as a gateway to the region. [1] Anseong Farmland
Anseong Farmland accommodates about 800 animals in 25 livestock categories and features activities such as feeding and livestock performances. Large-scale grasslands that change every season create remarkably scenic views with rye and canola in spring, sunflowers and lavender in summer, and cosmos in autumn.

This spring, for example, Anseong Farmland prepared a unique attraction by using a tractor to create the image of a Lunar New Year Ox in a rye field . At the farmland, not only can you see bulls, black cows, and striped oxen, but also sheep, goats, alpaca, deer, pigs, rabbits, horses, donkeys, and many others.

For these reasons and more, Anseong Farmland was selected as one of the Top 100 Korea Attractions of 2021-2022 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Tourism Organization.
[2] Namsadang Baudeoki Festival
Anseong was the birthplace and headquarters of Namsadang, an itinerant troupe of male performers during the Joseon Dynasty that has played an integral role in the popular culture in Korea. The Namsadang Baudegi Festival began in 2001 to preserve and develop Baudegi's artistic spirit and the traditional culture of Namsadang.

In 2006, the Baudegi Festival was designated as an official festival of CIOFF®, UNESCO's official advisory cooperation organization, making it one of the most representative global celebrations of Korean traditions.

[1] Anseong’s New Deal ‘Ten Ten Ten Project’
In 2021, Anseong will implement a localized New Deal initiative known as the “Ten Ten Ten Project.” The initiative includes 30 major projects such as the Digital New Deal, Green New Deal, and Human New Dea .The Digital New Deal Ten, for example, provides a foundation for smart cities by establishing a free Wi-Fi network along with an integrated platform that shares and manages video information managed by the police, the fire department, and local administration offices. The Human New Deal Ten, on the other hand, pursues the establishment of infrastructure such as the Public Citizens' Office and Family Center, as well as job creation for seniors and people with disabilities.
[2] AI Care Service
In addition to job creation specifically targeting seniors, Anseong signed an AI care agreement for senior citizens in need at the Samjuk-myeon Residents' Center and has begun preparing for project implementation. This project entails the installation of AI speakers in seniors’ homes to create a lively environment while simultaneously providing specialized contents for dementia prevention and immediate access to emergency services.This initiative will be launched first for residents in need in Samjuk-myeon, a demonstration area for ideal community care, and will gradually be expanded based upon the effectiveness of the project. The city expects to strengthen new non-face-to-face welfare services and further enhance the efficiency of care by using advanced ICT technologies.
[3] Fostering a Forest to Block Particulates (Dust)
Anseong plans to create a forest in the green area between Woomirin Apartments in Gongdo-eup and 38 National Road to prevent the inflow of particulates into the residential area.The forest is expected to be effective not only with blocking particulate influxes from major roads and industrial complexes, but also in supplying clean air and reducing environmental problems such as urban heat island phenomenon. Concurrently, the city plans to plant more than 8,000 trees, including pine trees, zelkova trees, and bamboo, to increase the particulate absorption effect throughout the year.
