One of the most popular spots in Pyeonggang Land is Pink Muhly Field. There are photo zones everywhere, so people can take pictures easily, and the pink muhly field is so large that there is less of a worry about crowds. The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, and the admission fee is KRW 8,000 for adults and KRW 7,000 for children.
Ginkgo Tree Road on Yeoju’s Gangcheon Island
Gangcheon Island is an artificial island that emerged as the water levels of the Namhan River increased. In the autumn, ginkgo trees on the island comprise a key part of the beautiful scenery, and so it is known as a popular destination for backpacking.Yeoju Gangcheon Island ⓒGyeonggi Province |
There are no other amenities on the island, and there is no place to throw away trash or wash dishes, so the environment is well preserved. This means, however, that visitors must remove any trash they generate.
One must go past the crowded entrance to see the ginkgo trees on Gangcheon Island. Unlike the area near the entrance, visitors can take better pictures here. It also is worth noting that a flea market is held at the entrance of Ginkgo Tree Road that features Yeoju specialties and simple entertainment for children.
Perhaps because of the wide field on Ginkgo Tree Road, many families people visit for a picnic. Visitors who plan to visit for more than a few hours are advised to bring light snacks and sunscreen.
