What is the future of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR)? Various companies answer in NRP Demo Day in South Korea.
Gyeonggi Province announced that it will hold the 2021 NRP Demo Day: Gyeonggi XR Showcase, an early corporate performance presentation on augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), this November 24 and 25 at IVEX Studio of U Planet in Gwangmyeong City as well as via online conferencing.
NRP Demo Day is a well-known event on virtual and augmented reality that has been held by Gyeonggi Province every year since 2017. This year, the event will provide opportunities to explore the future extended reality (XR) industry through AR/VR companies and glimpse the future of the metaverse, a recently trending concept, under the sub-theme of “Gyeonggi XR Showcase.”
New Reality Partners (NRP) is a project that has been led by Gyeonggi Province to promote AR/VR companies since 2017. Through the six projects conducted so far, Gyeonggi Province has selected and fostered a total of 148 promising AR/VR companies in partnership with global private and public entities.
Of particular note, attendees will be able to choose a convenient way in which to attend the event, on site or online, through the linkage of offline and online spaces. In addition to acquiring information on AR/VR companies, the event will provide opportunities to deliver and receive B2B (business-to-business) e-commerce consultation proposals, either offline or in the metaverse, for partnerships .
The offline event will be held at IVEX Studio of U Planet, a cultural complex and shopping facility located in Gwangmyeong City. In consideration of COVID-19 protocols, on-site visitors will be welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis. The event can also be attended online via YouTube (Gyeonggi Content Agency: @gg) for general viewers and “Gather.town,” a metaverse platform for B2B consultations.
For this Demo Day, anyone can apply to participate either online or offline via OnOffMix (onoffmix.com).
