What is ‘My Data’?
My Data refers to data used in the process of receiving personalized services and benefits when you directly provide your personal information in various areas such as personal credit, asset management, purchasing, and communication.
For the first time in Korea, Gyeonggi Notification Talk automatically selects and informs residents of Gyeonggi Province when they are eligible for welfare.
In addition, the province is building a service base that enables you to easily apply for and receive welfare benefits without requiring the submission of paper documentation.
Through Gyeonggi Notification Talk, in addition to 65 types of welfare programs from which individuals can directly benefit, you can immediately check 150 types of welfare programs operated by cities and counties.
In addition to Gyeonggi Notification Talk, the evaluation of major initiative performance in 2021 and the discussion of Gyeonggi Province’s data-based policy innovation plan for 2022 was dealt with during the first meeting of the Big Data Committee held at the Gyeonggi R&DB Center in Suwon City.

The committee exchanged opinions on implementation plans in these 5 areas.

Also, the province plans to expand the disclosure of unstructured data such as autonomous driving data in consideration of new industries such as artificial intelligence. In particular, in order to establish a foundation for the effective utilization of data, consultations for the establishment of an integrated data disclosure, analysis, and distribution platform are also planned for this year.
In terms of ‘Measures to Strengthen Competitiveness of Data Industry Based on Digital Transformation,’3 initiatives to implement digital transformation were discussed.

Details of the plan
- The first big data distribution platform business among local Korean governments
Gyeonggi Province plans to gradually expand the number of companies using the platform through stable platform operation, support for bolstering the profits and competitiveness of participating companies, and identifying innovative services.
- Fostering of Data Industry
The province also plans to provide intensive support for the data-based productivity enhancement of material/component/equipment SMEs (7 companies, KRW 300 million).
- Cultivation of Human Resources
Gyeonggi plans to operate specialized training for 60 people in a processing course, 60 in a job preparation course, and 160 in an incumbent course.
