With the 2023 World Baseball Classic in progress these days, baseball is one of the hot topics. The 5th WBC, originally scheduled to be held in 2021, has been postponed for two years due to COVID-19. The long-awaited WBC is a world-class baseball tournament that runs from March 8 to 21, 2023 (local time). The tournament will be held simultaneously in the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, and the tournament finals will be held in the United States. Korea will also be joining in Group B, starting with Australia in Japan, followed by Japan, the Czech Republic, and China.

The list of South Korea's national teams to compete in the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC), a national baseball competition involving all baseball stars from around the world, has also been released as follows. Players from kt wiz, based in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, were also selected. kt wiz is the 12th KBO club and the 4th new club in history.
