Hwaseong City, an area where you can experience both land and sea, offers a diverse range of natural environments and tourist attractions. Known for famous attractions such as Jebyeodo Island, Hwaseong City is home to a small and refreshing healing spot that can only be found here! We would like to introduce the Dongtan Lake Park Luna Show where you can have a cool and exciting evening.
Dongtan Lake Park
Dongtan Lake Park is a downtown wellness space with wide grassy fields, a large picnic area, and a phytoncide forest along the lake. Originally a mountain stream reservoir, Dongtan Lake Park was created as part of the Dongtan New City project with a freshwater area that is about half the size of Gwanggyo Lake Park.
The distinctive feature of this place is its wide grassy fields along the lake, a large picnic area, and a phytoncide forest, all creating a wellness space in the heart of the city. A walking trail is formed along a container bridge, allowing you to comfortably enjoy the lake scenery from various specialized benches.
Of particular note, the Luna Show, a fountain event that is one of the main attractions, incorporates over 200 different spray nozzles, lighting, and special effects spanning a 700m reservoir, creating European-style new media content.
Derived from the Latin word "Luna," meaning the moon, the Luna Fountain is a sculpture that symbolizes legends, history, and everyone's memories projected by the moonlight over the lake. It features six high-rise fountains that reach up to 40m in height, specialized nozzles that can rotate 360 degrees, and an elegant aesthetic created through the use of steel, similar to the beauty of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Furthermore, at night, the Luna Show unfolds with various themes using water, lighting, videos, lasers, and more. The Luna Show starts with a stereoscopic video projection synchronized with music on a 15m diameter sculpture called "Corona Screen," and more than 200 water jets reaching up to 60m dance harmoniously with the visuals. The performance begins with a musical fountain and continues with the Luna Show and Wolf Show.
You can enjoy this spectacular new media show for a whopping 50 minutes for free. It's a great place for a nighttime outing on vast grassy areas and walking trails. Experience the diverse attractions of Dongtan Lake Park and enjoy a healing time with your loved ones.
