Spring has gently arrived in Gyeonggi Province, and many people are gathering outside to enjoy the warm weather and see the blossoms.

While there are many types of spring flowers, today we’ll talk about azaleas!

"Step into a world of pink azaleas!"

*Azalea: Blooms in May with pink-colored flowers and bears fruit in October. Leaves are broad and oval, clustering in groups of 4-5.

Did you know there's an annual azaleas festival in Gyeonggi Province every April?

Considered one of the most splendid spring festivals, it has been held annually, continuing its scale and tradition.

Especially this year, marking the festival's 10th anniversary, it is planned to be filled with a variety of programs and events from April 20, 2024 to April 28, 2024.

2024 Gunpo’s Azalea Festival

• Festival Dates: April 20 (Sat), 2024 - April 28 (Sun), 2024
• Location: Azalea Hill (1152-14 Sanbon-dong, Gunpo-si, Gyeonggido), Azalea Park, Chomakgol Eco Park, and other areas in Gunpo City
• Host/Organizer: Gunpo City / Gunpo Cultural Foundation

Azalea Park, the main venue of the festival, will display various sculptures and artworks alongside the beautiful azaleas. Nearby, over ten food trucks will be set up, offering a variety of foods to enjoy!

At Azalea Hill, opening and closing ceremonies will take place, along with various performances and citizen participation programs, making it a space for everyone to enjoy together.

How to get to Azalea Hill: 3 minutes walk from Surisan Station Exit 3, Subway Line 4.
※ Parking space is limited, so using public transportation is recommended.

In addition, there will be photo zones, food booths, city promotion booths, so be sure to visit and enjoy the spring with Gyeonggi Province!

At Chomakgol Eco Park, various busking performances and children/youth orchestra performances are scheduled, so don't miss out on these fun events!
