While many countries celebrate Father's Day and Mother's Day separately, Korea combines the celebrations into Parent's Day every year on May 8. However, in over 100 countries, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May as a special occasion to appreciate mothers' love.
Today, in honor of Mother's Day, we would like to introduce Pocheon’s Korea National Arboretum (포천국립수목원) in Gyeonggi Province, a wonderful destination for a memorable family outing with your mom.
The Korea National Arboretum is the largest arboretum in Korea, five times bigger than any other national arboretum in the country. It hosts over 3,400 plant species and is home to more than 2,800 insects, bird, and mammal species.
With over 500 years of preservation, it is a place of significant historical and ecological value. In 2010, UNESCO designated it as a biosphere reserve.
This Mother's Day, it is an ideal place to experience the beauty of nature at Korea's largest arboretum and enjoy a relaxing stroll with your mom. It's one of the most popular destinations for Koreans planning trips with their parents.
Give your mom a warm and memorable May filled with relaxation!
