As soon as you step through the entrance, you might find yourself face-to-face with a sheep grazing right by the path! Approach carefully so as not to startle it, but you’ll likely find the sheep too engrossed in its meal to pay you any mind.
Have you ever been this close to a sheep? Maybe you’ve only ever seen them from afar, behind a fence? At Gapyeong Sheep Ranch, you can share the same space with the sheep, wandering freely as they graze or nap right next to you. 😊
Now, let’s head over to the hay exchange station to get some food for the animals!
[Feeding Experience]
Armed with a bundle of hay, you enter the experience area, where hungry sheep eagerly rush over for a bite. Be mindful that the excitement might overwhelm younger children, so it’s best to accompany them during this activity.
Next, we moved on to the alpaca garden, where we fed them some carrots. While it might seem like a gentle feeding session, in reality, we were being pursued by determined alpacas! The carrots disappeared quickly as the hungry alpacas chased us down.
And then, we discovered a baby lamb! Isn’t it adorable with those bright, sparkling eyes? Since baby lambs can’t eat carrots or hay yet, we fed them milk instead, which they eagerly gulped down.
[Rabbits & Meerkats]
Next door to the baby lambs, we found rabbits and meerkats relaxing in their enclosures. It was a hot day, so both the rabbits and meerkats sought out cool spots to nap and beat the summer heat.
[Walking with Alpacas]
One of the unique experiences at Gapyeong Sheep Ranch is the opportunity to walk with an alpaca! You can stroll along the scenic walking course, feeding the alpaca as you go. Alpacas are cute from the front, but don’t miss out on the view from behind—those fluffy heads are just as adorable! Capture some special photos with your new alpaca friend. 🙌
[All-Season Sledding Hill] In one corner of the ranch, there’s a sledding hill that’s open all year round, and it’s free to use for both adults and kids. Even just standing at the top of the slide and looking out over the open landscape is enough to fill you with a refreshing sense of freedom.
[Café] After exploring the ranch, why not take a break at the café? Enjoy the cool breeze of the air conditioner while gazing out through the large glass windows at the stunning scenery. The sweeping mountain ranges and colorful wildflowers outside make the view feel like a living painting.
[Market] As you leave this healing retreat, you might find it hard to resist the pull of the market. With adorable stuffed animals, including sheep, alpacas, and rabbits, how can you walk past without taking one home?

Seeing the sheep’s contented expressions as they enjoy the peaceful nature around them is sure to lift your spirits. Gapyeong Sheep Ranch is a place where you can connect with animals and find a bit of tranquility.

Step into this fairy-tale setting and embark on a heartwarming adventure today! 🌷
