Looking for a time-travel experience that immerses you in Korea's rich history and culture?
We invite you to Dae Jang Geum Park in Gyeonggi Province, a one-of-a-kind destination for exploring the beauty of traditional Korea.
Originally built as the filming set for the beloved Korean drama ‘Dae Jang Geum (Jewel in the Palace)’, Dae Jang Geum Park is a professional outdoor filming site and a Hallyu (Korean Wave) theme park.
Not only is it the largest open set in Korea, but it’s also a versatile space used for historical dramas, modern shows, movies, and commercials.
The park boasts everything from traditional Korean hanok houses to historically inspired props, offering visitors a chance to dive into the essence of Korean culture. Its meticulously recreated streets and buildings transport you to different periods of Korean history, making it a cultural hub perfect for both locals and tourists.
The architectural designs in Dae Jang Geum Park are modeled after real historical structures in Korea, showcasing authentic traditional beauty.
As dramas and films continue to use the park, the sets have expanded over time. Today, the site spans an impressive 840,000 square meters and features approximately 240 structures.
Among its iconic spots is the bustling marketplace that served as the filming location for BTS Suga (Agust D)’s ‘Daechwita’ music video, drawing Hallyu fans from around the globe.
Take a break at the park’s traditional hanok-inspired café, located atop a hill.
From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire park, where the harmony of hanok architecture and surrounding mountains creates a serene and picturesque scene.
It’s the perfect spot to snap stunning photos to remember your visit.
