In Gyeonggi Province, there are many farms where you can enjoy hands-on strawberry experiences. From strawberry picking to making strawberry jam, these indoor activities offer a cozy way to enjoy the fruit, making them increasingly popular among both locals and international tourists.

Strawberry Farm in Yangju City

This time, we visited a charming strawberry farm in Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province.

📍 Location: 129 Eohago-gae-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do

🕒 Opening Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Closed for lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

🚗 Parking: Dedicated parking available

As soon as we enter, we’re greeted by lush greenery and a warm greenhouse filled with vibrant strawberry plants. One of the unique features of this farm is that the strawberry racks can be adjusted up and down, making it easier for both adults and children to pick strawberries comfortably.

There’s also a spacious waiting area with play equipment and toys, making it an ideal destination for families with kids!

🍓 Types of Strawberry Experiences 🍓

1️⃣ Strawberry Picking (2 hours)

• 500g: KRW 14,000

• 1kg: KRW 25,000

2️⃣ Strawberry Jam Making (2 hours)

• KRW 20,000

3️⃣ Strawberry Syrup Making (2 hours)

• KRW 17,000

Let’s take a closer look at two of the most popular experiences: strawberry picking and jam making!

🍓 Strawberry Picking Experience

Stroll through the farm and pick your own strawberries from the lower or upper racks. Since the farm is quite large, take your time exploring and selecting the biggest, ripest strawberries.

Once you’ve collected your strawberries, bring your basket to the staff for weighing.

⚠️ Be mindful of the weight limit! 

If you exceed the designated amount, an additional fee of KRW 2,500 per 100g will be charged.

🍓 Strawberry Jam Making Experience

This is a separate activity from the picking experience, with all necessary ingredients and materials provided in advance. 

Before starting, the staff explains the process step by step.

1️⃣ Trim the prepared strawberries and rinse them thoroughly.

2️⃣ Mash the cleaned strawberries with gloved hands.

3️⃣ Transfer them to a pot and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring continuously.

4️⃣ Add sugar and stir for another 15 minutes until the mixture thickens and transforms into a rich, sweet-smelling jam.

Watching the strawberries turn from a liquid-like consistency into a thick jam was fascinating! 

Once finished, the jam is carefully packed in a cute jar for you to take home. 🍓✨
